Our year 10, 11 & 12 Study skills and Self-Love Workshops

Student's can become overwhelmed with the task of studying.

we can take them through practical steps to implement a plan.

Implement a

study

plan

Students receive tasks weeks before they're due, yet they still manage to attempt them last minute...

Set to Study will go through some of the key challenges student's face and how to overcome them to start those tasks.

How to

manage Assignments

Burning Out

Self-Love

Students are often told not to burn out, though the specifics of what burning out is and how to 'avoid' it is neglected.

We will discuss the concept of burning out and present ideas on how students can balance their studies.

During high school many students feel the increasing pressure to achieve. This can impact their ability to make choices that are good for themselves.

We will highlight the value of being kind and practicing good self-love to aid in their success.

We will go in-depth on how to break down an assessment task to help the term 'last minute' become a prehistoric notion!

Our discussion will also cover the basics of keeping on top of homework, revision and other study tasks, whilst managing a schedule that doesn't jeopardise their overall wellbeing.

Self-Love lecture

We will use our 'Green Leaf' anecdote to explain the experiences of learning and good self-love; which includes making healthy decisions in the many elements which impact their studies and life.

Life and Studying

Year 10 is the perfect time for student's to think about their subjects, passions, career explorations, reading, volunteering and get involved in extracurriculars. Our talk will focus on being involved in their community (school, city, life) and making links between their class content and reality.

We will teach students to develop the 'student mindset.' For example: You don't need to love Hamlet, you need to understand him as a character within the play's context and writing style. School isn't always about like and dislike it's about learning and finding deeper meanings.

'Science' of Studying

We will break myths about the 'study mood' and discuss the impact of basic needs for wellbeing on studying and school life; such as sleep, nutrition, study space, friends and other elements.
